Its appearance, spread, and development reflect the complex social and cultural mosaic of London and some othercities, determined by the processes of immigration and globalization. MLE is viewed as a blending of linguistic features loaned fromsome British dialects (London’s Cockney and Estuary) and different ethnic communities, including Caribbean, African, South Asian, and European influences. There is an attempt to identify the true origin of MLE and connect it with the general tendencies of the Englishlanguage transformations in the modern world. We managed to trace the roots of MLE to the post-World War II period when massive waves of immigration from former British colonies brought together speakers from a variety of linguistic backgrounds. The immigrants interacted with each other and with the local English-speaking population, inducing the creation of a new form of speech.Our special attention in the research is paid to the fact that MLE is not simply a hybrid language but a dynamic dialect, or evena sociolect, that continues to evolve. Its influence is spreading across the city and some urban communities, with some features becoming generally accepted in Standard British English, while it is most commonly spoken by young Londoners in working-class areas. MLEis not only the manifestation of the linguistic diversity of its speakers, but it also expresses their identity in a multicultural speaking environment. The rise of MLE has aroused numerous debates about linguistic and social integration in the context of its coexistencewith Standard British English. The peculiarities of the use of feminines are analyzed.The aspect of analyzing the teacher's linguistic portrait based on the peculiarities of naming a person is highlighted, and the tendency to depart from the national tradition – the three-component anthroponymic model (surname, first name, patronymic) in pedagogicalcommunication is noted.The article also focuses on the tendency to simplify the teacher's language in online discourse, which is manifested in the use of short sentences, emotionally colored vocabulary, and elements of conversational style. Attention is paid to the structural features of the titles of publications and posts by teachers in scientific and educational online texts. Characteristic patterns of their construction, use of keywords, emotional vocabulary, and means of attracting the audience's attention have been identified.The results of the study have theoretical significance for linguistics and communication studies, as well as practical value foreducators and developers of online educational platforms. It has been established that the specific means of formation are the use of existing models in the Ukrainian language: secondary nomination,morphological, and analytical methods.Secondary nomination is based on one of the lexical-semantic means – metaphor or metonymy. It has been found that metaphorizationcan occur not only on the basis of commonly used vocabulary but also on the basis of changes in the meanings of terms borrowed fromother terminological systems. Metaphor terms related to color symbolism are identified. Examples of management terms formed bytransferring meaning based on metonymy are given.It has been proven that the important source of enrichment of Ukrainian specialized language of management is the morphological way of formation: the most widely represented suffix formation, a small number of terms formed by the prefixal method, composition, juxtaposition, abbreviation, as in the morphological structure of terms formed by affixation, word and root formation, the foundationsof structural systematization of terms have been laid. The peculiar feature of the studied terminology system is the existence in specialized literature of abbreviations-anglicisms written mainly in Latin script.Analytical derivation is analyzed as a productive way of enriching the metalanguage of management. Compound terms convey belonging to a classification series based on hyper-hyponymic comparison of concepts. The most typical structural models, according to which complex terms are formed, have been identified. Terms with a participle component have been confirmed. The communicative space of the Internet, which is represented by online communication in chat rooms, social networks, instant messengers, forums, has become a kind of environment characterized by certain rules of ecological communication.Virtual discourse is created by a number of parameters, such as fragmentation and brevity, asynchrony and anonymity, the use of lexicalunits belonging to different styles and registers, the use of signs-symbols, abbreviated etiquette formulas for establishing, maintaining and breaking contacts, a specific communication channel, etc. The regulation of communicative interaction with the aim to ensure a healthypsychological state of speakers is becoming particularly topical due to the increasing uncertainty of the prospects for the interaction of man, society and nature. The predominance of phatic tonality over informative in virtual discourse takes place primarily due to the goals, values and genres of virtual discourse. The phatic function of language plays an important role in supporting the environmentalfriendliness of communication. It helps to establish a close contact, create a friendly atmosphere, maintain the interlocutor's attention,ensure the dynamics of online communication, and also signal the beginning or end of the conversation. A research parallel corpus has been built, with structural and part-of-speech tagging applied.The frequency of parts of speech with high style-distinguishing potential has been determined. A linguistic and statistical comparative analysis has been then conducted between the original and translated subcorpora. It was justified the significant discrepancy between the general quantitative characteristics of English-language and Ukrainian-language advertising texts can be attributed to translation strategies such as localization and transcreation. It can be concluded that only partial quantitative equivalence between the sourceand target text is based on the general corpus indicators. The morphological analysis of selected advertising texts for tonic drinks hasrevealed significant differences in the usage of parts of speech in both the texts (word usage) and the dictionary registers (lemmas). In both the source text and the target text, the highest frequency of usage has been observed for nouns, which is related to the function of nomination. There has been a predominance of action verbs, extensive use of adjectives and adverbs with positive evaluative semantics, and the use of pronouns, which facilitates the task of the personification of the address. Predominance of nouns, which contributes to a nominal style characterized by a static, descriptive nature and an objective lexical background. This high degree of nominality ispreserved in the target text. It can be argued that the construction of the advertising message employs an informative strategy aimedat a broad audience. The study is grounded on the idea that cybermemes are a dynamic formof online communication where linguistic creativity intersects with visual and cultural elements. Language play and creativity in employing rhetorical devices are mainly used to draw readers’ attention. Expressive means in cyber memes are a powerful instrumentto manipulate consciousness as they inform and actively influence the audience's thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Their use communicates the information and produces specific emotional reactions, affecting the perception of events, people, and phenomenaand imposing necessary attitudes and evaluations. The authors emphasize the importance of the psychological peculiarities of language play in analyzing cybermemes, revealing the sources of informational and psychological impact on the addressee’sconsciousness and predicting the consequences of such an impact on an individual and social process. The research aims to definethe main types of language play used in memes and to analyse how they are preserved or transformed in translation. The analysis isbased on authentic examples of English-language memes and their Ukrainian equivalents. It demonstrates that translating language play requires linguistic competence and a deep understanding of the cultural and pragmatic context when a translator co-creates the planned effect. The article applies a set of translation transformations, such as lexical adaptation, stylistic compensation, syntactic restructuring, and pragmatic adjustment. The theoretical framework includes the works of foreign and Ukrainian scholars.The paper concludes that creative, culturally adapted translation strategies are essential to retain the humorous and expressiveeffect of memes. Social media have not only transformedtraditional models of communication, but also created a new reality for discourse, in which language is closely intertwined with visual, audio, and technical elements. Online discourse is characterised by a high level of dynamics, multimodality, fragmentation, interactivity and algorithmic mediation, which creates new challenges for linguistic analysis. The study focuses on the need to update methodological approaches, in particular, the adaptation of applied linguistics tools to the conditions of a hybrid digital environment.The main directions of modern discourse analysis that have analytical potential for the study of online communications are analysed:critical discourse analysis, multimodal approach, cognitive discourse analysis and corpus linguistics. Particular attention is paidto the problems of interpreting multicode messages that combine text, images, emojis, videos, and various interactive elements.Considerable attention was also paid to the impact of the platform's algorithms on the structuring of meanings, modelling the visibilityof messages, and representation of identities. The necessity of an interdisciplinary approach consisting of linguistic, sociological,cognitive and analytical approaches is substantiated. The scientific novelty of the study is an attempt to comprehensively understand the methodological transformation of discourse analysis in the digital age. The practical significance lies in the possibility of using the results obtained in further studies of digital discourse, including for the analysis of identity, conflict communication, information campaigns, political and media discourse in the online environment. In the context of rapid development of communication technologies and globalization processes, traditional translation practices are undergoing cardinal changes, evolving from simple interlingual transfer to complex forms of cultural dialogueand identity representation in digital environments. The methodological approach of the study is based on the integration of quantitative and qualitative analysis. A systematic review of recent academic literature (2020–2025) and detailed analysis of the functioningof leading digital translation platforms allowed for the formation of a comprehensive understanding of current trends in the translationfield. The empirical base consists of data from over 2,800 translation projects, with particular attention paid to projects involving Ukrainian-English language pairs as source or target languages. The research results demonstrate that digital translation transcendsthe boundaries of traditional linguistic transformation, integrating multimodal elements, technological innovations, and dynamicforms of cultural adaptation. Three key aspects of digital translation transformation have been identified: first, the cardinal change in translator agency, where translators function as cultural curators and mediators in digital environments; second, the formation of a new paradigm of multimodal mediation through the integration of artificial intelligence and machine translation; third, the emergenceof collaborative digital translation communities that act as collective cultural mediators. The theoretical contribution of the study lies in developing an integrated model of digital cultural mediation that synthesizes technological capabilities with humanistic aspects of translation activity. The analysis reveals that character names in the novel serve as personal allusions, subtly referring to real historical figures. The relevance of the study stems from the lack of comprehensive research on allusive literary and artistic anthroponyms in contemporary Ukrainian fantasy literature.The object of analysis comprises anthroponyms that allude to historical figures of the Hundred Years’ War, particularly those associated with War of the Breton Succession. The classification of anthroponyms is based on formal-structural and lexico-semantic criteria, which allows the identification of three main levels of allusiveness: phonetic-structural (name forms and phonological similarity), semantic(semantic load and meaning), and contextual (dependent on narrative circumstances). This typology provided a clear framework forthe exposition of research findings, with illustrative examples organized according to each identified level, enabling a consistent analysisof allusion mechanisms.A comprehensive methodological approach is employed, which takes into account not only linguistic features but alsoassociative and historical-cultural dimensions – factors essential in the fantasy genre, where allusions often operate implicitly.The findings demonstrate that literary and artistic anthroponyms in I. Hrabovska’s novel function not merely as tools for character identification but as a key mechanism for encoding historical information. They enable multi-layered interactions between fictionaland historical realities. The use of both explicit and implicit allusive anthroponyms enriches the conceptual depth of the narrative while maintaining its generic conventions. The complex stylistic and pragmatic functions of phraseological units in the process of their functioning in speech areenhanced by various kinds of transformations. There are cases of application of substitution techniques, expansion of the component composition with contextually determined lexemes, phraseological allusion of various types and ellipsis in Ukrainian biblical expressions.Cases of creating a language game of structurally unmodified units, as well as changes in valence have been identified. Transformations of phraseological units with figurative meaning lead to: 1) specification of their meaning, 2) acquisition of additional denotative semes,3) acquisition of the features of free lexemes with direct meanings by the components of phraseological units, 4) change of meaning at the level of signifier and denotation, 5) literalization of meaning.Phraseological units devoid of metaphoricity have the meaning resulting from the sum of lexical meanings of their components inthe newly formed unit. The connotative meaning of the transformed biblical phrases is intensified, its expressive, emotional and evaluativesemes are actualised. Phraseological units that traditionally belong to the bookish style often sound ironic and sometimes even sarcastic in headlines, which results in a lowering of their style. The informative function of titles that use transformed biblical expressionsis optional. The study of Kostenko’s interpretation is driven by the need to comprehend the author’s reading of Homer and his works as a stage in developing Ukrainian classicist heritage – a tradition of borrowing and transforming the legacy of ancient Greeks and Romans within Ukrainian literature. The study aims to identify the main trends in Kostenko’s reading of the “Homeric text,” to clarify its functions in her works, and to analyse the complexmotifs expressed through its lens.Kostenko’s interpretation is characterised by using Homer’s name as a synonym for “antiquity” (e.g., in Miss Truth). The legendary details of his biography serve as a poetic lens for reflecting on time, fame, and eternity in the portrait of an artist from another era (“Toward Evening He Steps into the Street…”). In Kostenko’s poetry, Homer appears both as the author whose works shape the reader’s national identity (as in Kartashynsky Estuary and The Gypsy Muse), and as a component of historical knowledge (Scythian Odyssey).Kostenko weaves the motifs and imagery of Homer’s Odyssey into the ballad-poem Scythian Odyssey as part of the intertext used to characterise the protagonist’s worldview, personal experience, and collective memory. Using a comparative approach, the article argues that regardless of the context, the “Homeric text” in Kostenko’s work becomes an intertext within poetic visions of Ukrainian history, a tool for universalising Ukrainian experience, and a means of articulating the poet’s anthropocentric worldview. The object of study is the series of novels “Lockwood and Co” by the modern British fantasy fiction writer Jonathan Stroud, which is considered as an example of paranormal fiction. For a deeper understanding of this fantasy subgenre, we have studied works on fantasy genre itself and gave its definition. It has been determined that the fantasy genre has gained very significant popularity in the 21st century. The classification of fantasy subgenres has been studied and its generalized version has been provided. The term of paranormal fiction has been defined. Examples of popular books belonging to the genre of paranormal fiction have been given. It has been studied that elements of paranormal fiction can also be found in other fantasy subgenres. The main features of paranormal fiction have been considered. The series of novels “Lockwood &amp; Co” by Jonathan Stroud (which includes 5 novels) is analysed for its belonging to paranormal fiction. It is studied that the books contain all the inherent features of this genre, namely: the presence of paranormal elements and phenomena, creatures or forces that are notpart of the real world (in this series – ghosts), the actions take place in a modern city (London) in our time, but with fantastic events, the books have a combination with other genres (horror, partly romance), the investigation of unusual phenomena and supernatural events, the focus on the mystery that is a part of the plot (investigation of the ghost’s appearance), and the presence of a psychologicalaspect (main character’s past affects his psychological state and motivation). Examples of illustrative quotes for each of the specified defining features from the series of novels “Lockwood &amp; Co” are given. Conducted as a qualitative practitioner inquiry over three academic semesters, the study monitors how these digital tools affect learner engagement, motivation, language competence, and digital literacy development. It will pinpoint to what extent blended learning models can support effective learner autonomy with individualized pacing and real-world communication skills. The current article also touches on major obstacles–digital inequality, unstable Internet access, and inadequate technical support–and highlights an important continuing need for systematic teacher training so that digital tools are utilized not just efficiently but also meaningfully from a pedagogical perspective. Results indicate that gamifiedlearning through Kahoot improves the retention of vocabulary, lowers learner anxiety, and increases participation. It underlines how important it is to align instructional goals with what technology allows. Without this alignment, there is the risk that digital tools mightbe used in a superficial way or rather ineffectively. This article concludes by making practical recommendations for educators who arewilling to create meaningful language learning experiences supported by technology. The insights below will help learners as future professionals succeed in meeting the demands of digital communication and autonomous lifelong learning. Particular attention ispaid to the pedagogical and cognitive potential of these resources in the context of developing the linguistic competence of studentsstudying the Ukrainian language. The article demonstrates how new-generation lexicographic tools can combine academic heritage,corpus methods, visual annotation technologies, personalized knowledge presentation formats, and the principles of conceptography inherent in modern digital education in the humanities. It shows how new dictionary formats transform traditional teaching methods and increase the effectiveness of linguistic material assimilation by activating students' creative potential and promoting theirindependent research activities.The article considers an example of a micro-dictionary compiled by Diana-Maria Fedoriv, a student of the Master's program “Applied Linguistics” at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Diana-Maria Fedoriv, as part of her research on “The pragmatic potential of texts about love in the formation of linguistic competence in foreigners (using the example of texts by Ivan Franko and Lesya Ukrainka, Edith Wharton, and Henry James).” The author uses the Sketch Engine platform to create a corpus of specialized texts, identify key terms based on frequency analysis, perform CQL queries, and conduct concordance searches. Five terms: text, linguistic personality,text creation, informational text, and competence – became the conceptual basis of the dictionary. Each dictionary entry is structuredas a miniature capsule of knowledge, combining definitions from scientific sources, examples of usage in the corpus, empathetic author's comments, illustrations, and emojis for visual support of perception. This model of knowledge presentation facilitates the interculturaladaptation of foreign students, makes terms more accessible for learning, and promotes a deeper understanding of language and culture.The work emphasizes the role of POLYHEDRON as an intellectual infrastructure that enables the creation of multimodal, flexible, and adaptive lexicographic products for use in the educational process. Such micro-dictionaries perform a number of functions: they form terminological literacy, stimulate reflection, and promote academic socialization and intercultural communication. Key concepts (interculturalcommunication, intercultural linguistic identity, and intercultural competence of non-native speakers) are defined as the foundationof a competence-oriented process implemented through communicative-activity, student-centered, and sociocultural approaches.The wartime conditions exacerbate these processes due to psychological stress, limited access to immersive language environment,and the urgency of adaptation, particularly for learners outside Ukraine.A focal point is the importance of developing academic mobility and scientific-educational partnerships between Ukrainian and foreign universities. Participation of lecturers and students in international academic exchange programs, inter-university projects, and summer schools enhances the formation of intercultural competence for those learning UFL, whether within the cultural-educational environment of Ukrainian universities remotely. Significant value for the development of educational programs at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko (Sumy SPU) is derived from the experience of teaching UFL in foreign universities, particularly Istanbul University (Turkey).The article describes the experience of implementing the inter-university partnership project «Ukrainian as a Foreign Language Without Borders,» initiated by lecturers from Sumy SPU (Ukraine) and Istanbul University (Turkey). The project, focused on cultural-educational and research collaboration, aims to provide practical support to students in developing intercultural competence and toencourage tolerant communication through cross-cultural discussions, workshops, roundtables, and scientific-practical conferences.The organization of the educational process in both universities incorporates interactive methods and informal education, fostering the socialization of non-native speakers.The essence and methodology of the communicative engagement method are outlined, which involves language learning through active immersion in a cultural environment. This approach ensures the organic integration of linguistic and cultural knowledge, transforming the educational process into a space of continuous intercultural interaction. Key components include the use of authentic materials, visualization (videos, presentations), linguocultural commentaries, and modeling of intercultural communication scenarios.The effectiveness of these practices is noted in developing non-native speakers’ ability to apply knowledge of linguistic norms, social roles, and communicative strategies according to specific interaction contexts.A significant role is played by the Ukrainian Cultural Club in Istanbul and extracurricular activities at Sumy SPU, which promote tolerance, empathy, and adaptation to the Ukrainian-speaking environment through participation in international competitionsand cultural initiatives. It is found that training in war conditions has become a challenge for all participants in the educational process and a real test for higher education institutions, which allow young people to gain not only knowledge, but alsonot to lose the sense of belonging to the Ukrainian community.The educational and professional program “Primary Education” of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University is analyzed, in particular, the content of the educational components “Modern Ukrainian Language with Practicum”, “Methodology of Teaching the Ukrainian Language”, “Children's Literature and Methods of Teaching Literary Reading”, which contribute to the formation of speech, methodological, reading and informational competencies of future teachers.
