A higher level of reaction and speed of movements leads to better control over the game and greater accuracy of shots. To play table tennis, children must have developed motor skills. The game of table tennis is characterized as a motor activity in variable conditions, where the performance of motor actions with different speeds of muscle work occurs during the intensive processing of a significant amount of sensory information. In addition, a combination of active high-speed actions with short periods of rest is characteristic.Technical training in table tennis affects the development of speed qualities through improved coordination of movements, reaction speed, use of force, accuracy and stability. These aspects help athletes to reach a higher level of play and increase their ability to perform actions on the table quickly and efficiently.Physiological features of the development of speed qualities in children of younger adolescence (11-12 years old) require a specific approach to the educational and training process. When working with this age group, you should pay attention to the individual characteristics of children, their state of health, their interest in classes and motivation.Based on the research of scientists, the analysis of scientific literature, a program for the development of speed qualities in boys of 11-12 years who play table tennis was developed and experimentally verified.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/567 HISTORICAL PROLEGOMENES TO THE FORMATION OF MODERN GYMNASTICS 2025-04-28T11:19:58+03:00 Serhii Lazorenko tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Nataliia Petrenko tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Юрій Васильович Дутчак tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
Recently, the activity and interest of a wide range of young people in various types of mass sports and physical activity for the purpose of recreation and restoration of working capacity, to ensure an effective and relevant level of physical fitness and an adequate state of individual health, has begun to progress. Urbanization and globalization of the processes of development of modern society have led to active searches by humanity for innovative physical culture and health systems that would solve the above-mentioned problems. Gymnastics, which in Antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the Enlightenment era performed general educational functions – the formation of physical and intellectual development, was also affected by such activity; in modern times it acquired the status of a sport and currently continues to develop in the direction of ensuring the health of the current population in various countries of the globe. This scientific article presents the material of the analysis by the author team of scientific and methodological literature on the historical factors of development, formation and further prospects of gymnastics as an Olympic sport and a physical culture and health system. According to scientists of Antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Enlightenment era, gymnastics was a positive aspect of improving physical qualities and motor skills, it contributed to the production of material values of society and transformed the physical and aesthetic nature of man. Gymnastics as an academic discipline educates, develops and forms the sports and physical culture of a future specialist in the field of physical culture and sports. Modern sports psychology studies the influence of psychological factors on the athletic achievements of athletes, namely, how their mental state and mood can determine the demonstration of maximum possibilities of sportsmanship. According to coaches of various types of martial arts surveyed in Sumy region, successful sports achievements are impossible without well-established relevant psychological training, which helps to increase the athlete’s motivation, concentration and confidence in their own abilities. The athlete’s psychological mood is determined by his emotional state, motivation and belief in his own abilities to demonstrate readiness to fulfill the coach’s competitive instructions.A positive mood helps to focus on the task, increases the level of energy supply for performing physical activity, and influences the adoption of balanced and rational decisions during important starts. In this state, the athlete is ready to overcome difficulties and demonstrate high sporting achievements. A negative mood, on the other hand, can lead to decreased motivation, anxiety, and fear of the outcome set for the upcoming competition, and mistakes that will negate all of the athlete’s previous training activity. The results of a sporting competition often depend on how an athlete manages their emotions and stressful situations. Sports psychology teaches athlete’s relaxation, visualization, and concentration techniques that help maintain an optimal psychological state. This allows the athlete to remain calm and focused even in difficult situations, which contributes to their demonstration of better results. The analysis of modern scientific and methodological literature on the selected issues provided an opportunity to consider the theoretical foundations of the combination of physical and artistic aspects of this dance, which allows not only to improve the physical qualities of students, but also to form their aesthetic taste, musicality and creative potential. The main attention is focused on the importance of a comprehensive approach to teaching Hopak, which includes the development of strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination of movements, as well as the ability to express emotions through music, rhythm and plasticity. The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the role of the integration of sports and artistic aspects in teaching Hopak as an effective means of physical and aesthetic development of students. The main attention is focused on pedagogical methods that integrate sports and artistic elements, which allow to form not only physical training, but also emotional expressiveness of students, and also contribute to their creative growth. It was determined that Hopak is a unique dance that combines physical skill with artistic expressiveness, which makes it an important means of comprehensive development of students, in particular, through a balance between technical and creative tasks. The conclusions show that the integration of sports and art in teaching Hopak is to create conditions for the comprehensive development of students' physical and artistic abilities. Performing Hopak dance elements requires high physical training, but at the same time requires students to be able to express emotions through movement, feel the rhythm and convey mood through plastic and stage images. Thus, the integration of two aspects – physical and artistic – is the basis for the formation of a comprehensively developed personality of a dancer.Hopak as part of the Ukrainian cultural heritage has great potential in physical and aesthetic education, providing students with the opportunity to feel the depth of traditions and interpret them through modern choreographic practice.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/572 USING UKRAINIAN EXERCISE EQUIPMENT ALFA GRAVITY TO HARMONISE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH 2025-04-28T11:44:02+03:00 Olena Molodova tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in interest among practitioners of adaptive physical education towards innovative training devices that not only enhance physical fitness but also restore mental health and stimulate cognitive functions.A prominent representative of such methodologies is the Ukrainian training device, Alfa Gravity. Theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature showed the importance of choreography as a basis for the formation of expressive technique for performing sports elements and harmonious interaction with objects, which is an integral part of the training process in rhythmic gymnastics. It was found that the key components of choreographic training: classical exercises, folk dances, modern choreography have a powerful impact on the development of physical qualities, such as flexibility, coordination, plasticity and strength. In addition, attention should be paid to the role of a creative approach in creating dance compositions, which not only help athletes improve technical skill, but also significantly increase the level of emotional expressiveness in performances. An important aspect is the ability to express character and mood through movement, which becomes the basis for creating vivid images, special attention is paid to the development of choreographic expressiveness, which is critically important for team skill. The generalization of the results of scientific research indicates that choreographic training in rhythmic gymnastics is a multifaceted process that encompasses not only the technical, but also the creative development of athletes. The interaction of technical and artistic aspects allows to significantly improve the level of skill, expressiveness and emotional richness of performances. The importance of a systematic approach to training, a combination of physical and psychological aspects, as well as creative development in cooperation with a choreographer makes the training of athletes more comprehensive and effective, which leads to high achievements in rhythmic gymnastics. These conclusions focus on physical training that is integrated with artistic performance. It is important to improve the technique of sports elements, such as rotations, jumps, acrobatic exercises, combined with the ability to keep balance and maintain the aesthetic appearance of movement. The training system should combine physical and psychological loads, allowing to achieve maximum results in performances, while maintaining the individuality of each athlete.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/574 THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SPECIAL PHYSICAL TRAINING AND TECHNICAL SKILLS IN SPORTS DANCES 2025-04-28T11:50:09+03:00 Zakhar Omelianenko tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
The article examines the relationship between special physical training and technical skill in sports dances. Modern dance sports are developing dynamically, which increases the requirements for athletes not only in terms of musicality, ease and plasticity of performance, but also in terms of the level of their physical training. This problem becomes especially significant when mastering competitive programs, which requires the comprehensive development of physical qualities – strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination and speed, which ensure the performance of complex coordinated dance elements with maximum amplitude and accuracy. It was found that the technical skill of athletes-dancers directly depends on the level of their physical training, because the physical condition determines the possibility of implementing technically complex movements, jumps, turns and supports. In addition, a low level of physical qualities limits the range of dance elements, which negatively affects the performances and evaluations of judges. Success in sports dances is impossible without a high level of physical training, because its insufficiency directly affects technical skill and, accordingly, the results of performances. The conclusions emphasize the undeniable relationship between special physical training and technical skill in sports dances. It has been proven that a carefully planned training process harmoniously combines general physical and special exercises, contributes to the formation of hardy, strong, flexible and technically knowledgeable dancers. A comprehensive approach to training allows not only to increase the level of physical qualities, but also to improve the rhythm, coordination of movements and musicality of athletes. It is such balanced training that is the key to successful performances and stable sports growth of dancers.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/575 PHYSIOLOGICAL BASES AND CHARACTERISTICS OF FATIGUE AMONG ATHLETES: CAUSES, MECHANISMS AND WAYS OF OVERCOMING 2025-04-28T11:53:17+03:00 Inna Pavlenko tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
The article deals with the physiological basis of fatigue in athletes, its causes, mechanisms of occurrence and peculiarities of its manifestation during physical activity. The role of the central nervous system, energy metabolism, muscle structures and the cardiovascular system in the formation of fatigue is analysed. The biological role of fatigue as an integral element of sports activity is to protect the body from exhaustion during prolonged or strenuous muscle work promptly to prevent exhaustion. There are the following phases of fatigue: initial fatigue, compensated fatigue, and decompensated fatigue. There are also acute and chronic, general and local, latent (compensated) and overt (uncompensated) fatigue.Inhibition is a universal mechanism that protects the nervous system and, through it, all organs and tissues from exhaustion.A pathological condition of the body characterised by a constant feeling of fatigue, lethargy, sleep and appetite disorders, and pain in various parts of the body is called overwork. If the training process is not organised in a rational way, overtraining may develop, a disease that occurs due to overstrain of the central nervous system. With a properly structured training process, the body develops a state of fitness based on the mechanisms of immediate and long-term adaptation to physical activity.Prevention and elimination of overtraining and fatigue involves reducing the volume and intensity of physical activity, using active recreation, and applying special recovery products.Proper planning of training sessions helps to effectively use fatigue as an element of progress. Understanding the mechanisms of fatigue allows athletes to avoid dangerous conditions and maintain a high level of performance.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/576 SYNERGY OF MOVEMENT AND RHYTHM: THE ROLE OF MUSIC IN FITNESS TRAINING 2025-04-28T11:58:57+03:00 Andrii Panchuk tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Ilona Panchuk tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Yuliana Sheretiuk tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
The article examines the role of music in various aspects of fitness training, in particular its impact on the physiological and psychological state, motivation, coordination of movements and the effectiveness of exercise performance. According to the predominant contribution of different pathways of ATP resynthesis, physical performance is differentiated into three types: aerobic, anaerobic, and physical performance with a mixed type of energy supply. In the process of sports activity, performance is determined by the influence of various external and internal factors, which are divided into the following groups: maximum amount of energy exchange; coordination of the muscular apparatus, nervous and endocrine systems; psychological component: will, motivation, self-control, emotional stability and ability to concentrate; social component: conditions of training places, living conditions, nutrition, etc.The key factors that determine physical performance are analysed, including the level of physical condition, functional state of the body, energy potential, technical skills, psychological readiness and external conditions. Physical performance is formed by the interaction of these factors, which affect the ability of athletes to perform prolonged and intense physical activity. The dynamics of work capacity are characterised by the following phases: the phase of mobilisation, the phase of the organism's involvement in work, the phase of hypercompensation, the phase of optimal work capacity, the phase of subcompensation, the phase of decompensation, and the phase of failure (fatigue). The duration and severity of these phases depend on many factors (age, nature of work, organisation of activity, type of higher nervous activity, experience of sports activity, motivation, etc.).All methods of studying direct indicators of athletes' performance are divided into quantitative (metres, seconds, kilograms, points, etc.), qualitative (reliability and accuracy of specific physical exercises) and combined (along with performance, the reliability and accuracy of sports activities are assessed). Indirect performance criteria include various clinical, physiological, biochemical and psychophysiological indicators that characterise changes in body functions during work. The study of physical performance in the training of athletes allows to optimise the training process, improve sports performance and reduce the risk of injury.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/580 FOREIGN EXPERIENCE IN THE USE OF METHODS OF PHYSICAL TRAINING OF YOUNG FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN THE PRE-COMPETITION PERIOD 2025-04-28T12:22:51+03:00 Oleksandr Tomenko tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Yevhen Burkatskyi tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
Physical training is one of the key components of the football training process, as it ensures the development of essential physical qualities required for successful participation in competitions. Endurance, strength, speed, coordination, and flexibility form the foundation of effective football performance, and their development must align with the age, physiological, and psychological characteristics of young athletes. Proper training planning is particularly important, as it must consider not only the players' physical capabilities but also their level of motivation, psycho-emotional state, and individual characteristics.Young football players go through various stages of physical, mental, and social development, making it impossible to apply the same training programs across all age categories. A lack of adaptation of training loads to the physiological capabilities of children and adolescents can lead to overtraining, injuries, or premature exhaustion, negatively affecting their athletic progress and overall motivation. Therefore, a crucial aspect is the development and implementation of scientifically grounded training methods that not only enhance the necessary physical qualities but also prevent fatigue and injuries. This article focuses on the analysis of scientific literature and the review of modern physical training methods in youth football, particularly those used in the pre-competition period. It examines key concepts and approaches to developing the physical qualities of young footballers, their impact on the overall effectiveness of the training process, and the level of adaptation to competitive activities.Special attention is given to modern trends in athlete preparation, including the use of game-based methods, functional training, high- intensity interval training, and approaches that integrate physical and tactical development. This sport requires athletes to have a high level of physical fitness, excellent coordination, endurance, strength, and reaction speed. The analysis of competitive performance in men’s and women’s freestyle wrestling allows for identifying key features of match execution, assessing the effectiveness of technical and tactical actions, and developing more precise and effective training programs for athletes. Research in this area is crucial for coaches striving to improve their athletes’ performance and for sports analysts studying trends in the development of freestyle wrestling as a sport. The purpose of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of competitive performance indicators of male and female freestyle wrestlers. The analysis was based on protocols and video recordings of the 2024 Ukrainian Freestyle Wrestling Cup among adults. A total of 151 matches were analyzed: 97 male matches and 54 female matches. The conducted research highlights some similarities and differences in competitive performance indicators between male and female freestyle wrestlers. It was determined that the most commonly executed techniques were gut wrenches in the parterre position and leg attacks and throws in the standing position. More points were scored in the standing position than in the parterre, and technical points exceeded non-technical points for both male and female wrestlers. The highest number of points was scored in the first minute of the match (23,18% of total points for men and 39,28% for women). Notably, the number of points scored decreased with each subsequent minute for both male and female wrestlers. This may be explained by the importance of the initial minutes in achieving victory in a match. The average number of points scored per match was significantly higher (p<0,05) for male wrestlers (9,34 points) compared to female wrestlers (8,20 points). However, the success index was higher for female wrestlers (2,48) than for male wrestlers (2,19), though this difference was not statistically significant (p>0,05). The obtained results will help coaches optimize the training process for male and female freestyle wrestlers.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/582 PHYSICAL FITNESS OF NOVICE FOOTBALL PLAYERS AT THE STAGE OF BASIC TRAINING 2025-04-28T12:32:12+03:00 Oleksandr Khriplyuk tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Anatoliy Krot tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Oleh Wegner tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
This article indicates that every year more and more sports sections appear in Ukraine, including football ones. Despite the difficult epidemiological situation of previous years, constant quarantines and three years of war, children's sports sections open their doors to an increasing number of visitors. A special role is assigned to the physical development and physical fitness of adolescents. Physical activity has been studied by famous scientists for decades, but now requires a new and special approach. When selecting school athletes for a football club, and later for participation in competitions, the main attention is paid not only to physical endurance and perfection, but also to the technique of the game, the level of theoretical and methodological knowledge, stress resistance and psychological readiness for both victory and defeat in the game. The physical fitness of football players at the stage of basic training is one of the main components that have an impact on the outcome of the competition. A high level of physical activity to a certain extent determines the structure of physical fitness. Physical training in sports, in particular in football, must correspond to the development of those motor qualities that have an impact on the player's skill in game activity. The basis of the structure of physical fitness of novice football players is such physical qualities as: starting, absolute and distance speed, general and speed endurance, strength and speed-power qualities. The training of young football players is based on the current trends in the development of football. The importance of the collective start of the game has increased, which is based both on the expansion of the universal capabilities of players and on the successful combination of their high individual qualities in the game. At the same time, a universal football player is considered to be one who knows how to play flawlessly in his place and, if necessary, well in any place both in defense and attack. The ability of football players to maintain the proper pace of the game and its intensity is noted. Physical activity is characterized by a variety of actions. The main forms of physical activity are: running of varying intensity with and without the ball, walking, jumping, hitting the ball, stopping, falling, feints, martial arts. Any type of sports training (physical, technical, tactical, psychological, athletic) is ensured by the selection of certain means, methods, and loads. Experts know that at the basic stages of training young football players, the parallel development of strength, speed, endurance, agility and flexibility gives the desired results. General physical training involves the harmonious development of physical qualities. There is a need for a comprehensive assessment of these abilities that have an impact on the proper level of physical fitness. Players who are at the stage of basic training must demonstrate appropriate indicators in football competitions.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/583 SPECIFICITY OF THE ORGANIZATION OF SECTIONAL HEALTH GYMNASTICS CLASSES WITH STUDENTS OF SENIOR CLASSES 2025-04-28T12:37:11+03:00 Serhii Cherednichenko tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Vita Khimich tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Serhii Kharchenko tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Oleg Pavlenko tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
The article is devoted to the basic principles, methods and approaches to organizing sectional classes of healing gymnastics with high school pupils, taking into account their age, psychophysiological and individual characteristics. Healing gymnastics as a form of physical activity has significant potential for improving the functional state of the body, developing coordination, flexibility, strength and endurance. For high school pupils who are at the stage of active physiological and psychological development, such classes are especially useful, as they contribute to harmonious development, stress relief and an increase in the overall level of energy. The organization of sectional classes should be based on the principles of individualization, systematicity and accessibility. The program of classes should include a variety of exercises aimed at developing all muscle groups, improving posture, the respiratory system and general health. Particular attention is paid to the technique of performing exercises in order to avoid injuries and ensure maximum training effectiveness. An important element of organizing classes is creating a comfortable psychological climate in the group. High school pupils often face emotional stress related to learning and social interactions, so health gymnastics classes should promote relaxation, relieve stress, and increase self-confidence. The use of musical accompaniment, game elements, and group exercises can make classes more interesting and motivating. In addition, the article emphasizes the role of the teacher as an organizer and mentor, who must have not only professional knowledge of physical education, but also communication skills with adolescents. The effectiveness of sectional healing gymnastics classes largely depends on the teacher’s ability to interest pupils, maintain their activity, and promote the formation of a positive attitude towards physical activity. The article also discusses safety issues during classes, including the need for a preliminary medical examination of pupils and compliance with safety regulations. Properly constructed sectional classes of healing gymnastics not only contribute to the development of physical qualities, but also form in high school pupils a conscious attitude towards their own health, which is an important element of their future life.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.spu.sumy.ua/index.php/sport/article/view/584 НIIT INTERVAL TRAINING FOR CORRECTION OF EXCESS BODY WEIGHT IN WOMEN OF THE FIRST PERIOD OF ADULTHOOD 2025-04-28T12:42:31+03:00 Olena Shynkarоva tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Serhiy Shynkarоv tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com Oleksandr Brusak tereshchuk.helvetica@gmail.com
The article considers the problem of excess body weight in women of the first period of adulthood and its solution using fitness technologies.
