FEATURES OF PROCESSING RESULTS USING MATHEMATICAL METHODS STATISTICS OF THE PSYCHOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS STAGE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH ON PROFESSIONAL SELF-DETERMINATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Abstract

In the process of active interaction with young people with special needs, a hypothesis was put forward that the professional self-determination of this category requires organized optimization. In order to analyze the effectiveness of the work carried out, psychological diagnostics were performed using: 1) the method of professional self-determination research by O. Trifonova and Yu. Gorbenko; 2) P. Wilson's test for determining emotional state. The results successfully confirmed our hypothesis that the studied category of young people with special needs requires improvement of their emotional state, self-confidence, elimination of fear, development of professional self-determination, curiosity, etc. Accordingly, we developed and tested a program for the formation of professional self-determination of young people with special needs using social and cultural activity technologies. Verification of the obtained indicators after diagnosis of the results of experimental work was carried out using mathematical and statistical methods (comparison of “before and after” values, G-criterion of signs), which confirmed the reliability and positive dynamics of emotional states and professional competence. The article presents comparative results of an empirical study of professional self-determination and emotional state of young people with special needs, a brief description of a tested program for the formation of professional self-determination of young people with special needs using social and cultural activity technologies. The program implements the following main tasks: forming a lasting interest in the profession, determining professional intentions, making a balanced, thoughtful choice as a result of professional self-determination, and improving emotional state. Particular attention is focused on the stage of psychological diagnosis, processing of results, and the application of mathematical statistics methods.
