Abstract

The article addresses the issue of voice training for students of non-musical specialties as an essential component of their professional preparation. It emphasizes that for future educators, lawyers, managers, and other professionals for whom voice plays a key role, the voice is not a tool of artistic expression, but a fundamental instrument of professional communication, influence, and leadership. The study substantiates the discrepancy between the high demands for professional speech quality and the lack of systematic voice training within non-musical education, which determines the relevance of this research. Based on an analysis of domestic and international scientific sources, the article outlines contemporary approaches to working with the spoken voice in a non-musical context, including ideas from music psychology, phoniatrics, and the psychophysiology of voice production. It is shown that the specificity of working with this category of students lies in adapting classical vocal techniques to applied training aimed at overcoming psychological barriers, muscular tension, and developing new vocal confidence. The article highlights key areas of focus: overcoming psycho-emotional blocks, developing speech (diaphragmatic) breathing as a basis for professional endurance, improving diction and articulation as tools for managing audience attention, maintaining vocal hygiene and preventing occupational voice disorders, as well as developing resonance and voice «projection». It is demonstrated that a comprehensive approach to voice training contributes not only to improved speech quality but also to the formation of a stress-resilient, confident specialist capable of effective performance under prolonged communicative load. The conclusion emphasizes that voice training for students of non-musical specialties serves as a form of professional rehabilitation and self-improvement, and future research prospects lie in the development of specialized methods adapted to the needs of specific professional groups.
