THE INFLUENCE OF EUROPEAN VOCAL METHODS ON THE FORMATION OF CONTEMPORARY UKRAINIAN POP VOCAL

Abstract

The article examines the influence of European vocal techniques on the formation and evolution of contemporary Ukrainian pop vocals. The purpose of the article is to analyze the mechanisms by which European vocal techniques, such as Complete Vocal Technique (CVT), Estill Voice Training (EVT), and Cheryl Porter’s authorial technique, influence the formation of contemporary Ukrainian pop singing. It has been established that vocal teachers do not simply copy, but creatively integrate classical principles and advanced modern techniques, in particular Complete Vocal Technique (CVT), Estill Voice Training (EVT), and Cheryl Porter’s technique into their own teaching and performing practices. It has been determined that this process is not a mechanical borrowing, but a true creative synthesis.It allows for the harmonious combination of European vocal skills with distinctive Ukrainian vocal techniques. This symbiosis helps to preserve national musical identity. Research shows that this interconnection is a key factor contributing to a significant increase in the professionalism and creativity of the Ukrainian pop vocal school. By using European techniques to improve their vocal apparatus, artists can remain true to their style and preserve their authenticity, expressing their uniqueness through their choice of repertoire, manner of performance, and emotional delivery. This gives our artists a competitive advantage, creating a unique and recognizable creative project that is not only interesting to domestic audiences but also successfully integrates into the European and global music scene. The article proves that contemporary Ukrainian pop vocals combine a rich historical heritage with innovative approaches, creating a new quality in musical art.
