CHOIR GROUPS OF THE EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC INSTITUTE OF CULTURE AND ARTS OF SUMY STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER A.S. MAKARENKO: AN ATTEMPT TO ANALYZE THE ACTIVITY IN A HISTORICAL ASPECT

Abstract

In the article, the author attempts to analyze the activities of the choral collectives of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Culture and Arts of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko: the People's Choir Chapel and the Women's Choir during the almost forty years of the collectives' existence. The problem of the research is the need to improve the traditional well-known methods of teaching choral singing, both in the conditions of off-line education and in the period of remote classes and martial law. The purpose of the study is to analyze the specifics of the functioning of choral groups of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Culture and Arts of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko in a historical perspective and to formulate recommendations regarding the improvement of the effectiveness of the educational process and the activation of the motivation to study among students. Research objectives: a) analysis of the creative activity of the People's Academic Choral Chapel of the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko, as an artistic standard; b) awareness of the main tasks facing the educational team on the example of the study of the specific stages of the development of the women's choir of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Culture and Arts of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko. In the process of researching the development of the choral business of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Culture and Arts of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko used the methods of analysis, synthesis, observation, and comparison. In the process of researching the activity of choral teams of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Culture and Arts of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko, the following was analysed the role of the educational choir in the process of creating an artistic model, and also the importance of students' independent work with the choir for the formation of professional skills of the future choir leader. Thus, the educational choir must solve two main tasks: involve students in executive activities at a high professional level and educate future leaders of choral groups through independent practical work with the choir. The rational distribution of study time in choral class classes can be as follows: up to 40% of the rehearsal time should be devoted to the students’ practical work, and 60% of the class will be worked by the teacher.
