“MUSIC” AS A SOURCE OF UKRAINIAN IDENTITY (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE VIOLIN MINIATURE BY I.F. KARABITS “MUSIC”)

Abstract

The Ukrainian music community has always been famous for its talented sons, glorifying our country. The Ukrainian musical society has always set itself the main goals and objectives: to bring Ukrainian folk music to people, to preserve Ukrainian roots, national history for the future, to identify and support talents, to love the country. All the qualities of a patriot, all his creativity and talent as an organizer can be clearly traced in the outstanding Ukrainian composer I.F. Karabits. This man really loved his country, and this love, like lightning, manifests itself in music. The composer's musical works are among the Ukrainian masterpieces of contemporary Ukrainian art. Violin miniature “Music” for solo violin is a virtuoso violin miniature that reveals professional capabilities and performing skills. Musical miniature represents chamber fundamentality, forming a structural and semantic series and performing integral genre and style functions, revealing the musical image. Musical expression and meaningful psychological load, gradual thematic development and activation of semantic and emotional development, the composer's use of maximum expressiveness of feelings, helps to reveal the inner state of the miniature. The play has features of both musical dialogue and the use of theatrical persuasion, which contributes to the manifestation of improvisational talent. The musical text of the work is highly emotional, especially the bright sound in the high register, which gives deep thought and understanding of the composer's idea and musical idea. The work contains pronounced levels, elements that are united by the principle of neo-folklore and carry a single theme of the Ukrainian nationality. The great significance of the nationality is sung in the musical works of outstanding Ukrainian composers, and the violin miniature by I. Karabits “Music” is no exception, which carries the spirit of pride of the nation and victory to modern society.
