Abstract

The research focuses on the synchronization of musical rhythm and choreographic movements, in particular in the context of dance musicality in sports and ballroom dance programs of European and Latin American programs. The common and distinctive features of music and dance in the context of dance musicality, which are based on the successful combination of these two arts, are considered. Important aspects of dance musicality are revealed, which contributes not only to the development of the art itself, but also to deepening the understanding of the relationship between music and dance movement in the broad context of modern culture. A complex of methods, including general scientific (analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization) and specific scientific (comparative and comparative analysis), was used to highlight these issues. The interaction of musical rhythm and choreographic movements is studied as a unique phenomenon, which is the basis for creating a complete composition of sports and ballroom dance. Common properties of music and dance are identified, such as rhythm, melody, harmony and structure, which are the main components of both music and dance art and play an important role in creating impressive performances of ballroom dancers. Various factors influencing the synthesis of music and dance are outlined, including cultural context, artistic vision, and technical limitations. The advantages and disadvantages of synchronizing musical rhythm and choreographic movements are analyzed, including their expressiveness, audience engagement, and opportunities for artistic innovation, along with challenges such as the need to balance dance elements of European and Latin American programs and meet technical requirements. It has been proven that the formation of musicality in dance includes not only technical aspects, but also the development of a sense of rhythm and perception of a musical composition, which is important for increasing the professional level of performance. Therefore, along with technical exercises, musicality skills and a sense of rhythm play the most important role in shaping the successful performance of ballroom dancers.
