Abstract

The article is devoted to conceptualizing the role of creative thinking in the professional activity of the leader of an amateur vocal ensemble within the context of the contemporary transformation of the cultural space. It is substantiated that the activity of an amateur ensemble leader goes beyond traditional music-pedagogical practice and acquires the features of integrated arts management, in which creativity serves as a key tool for effective leadership. Emphasis is placed on the fact that the ability to think in non-standard ways enables the leader to compensate for the limited human, financial, and technical resources inherent in amateur performance and to transform these limitations into artistic advantages. The article reveals the main areas of implementation of the creative thinking of the leader of an amateur vocal ensemble, in particular in the formation of an innovative repertoire, the organization of the rehearsal process, the motivation of participants through co-creation, the staging of vocal works, and the creation of an integral stage performance. The significance of genre crossover, adaptive arrangement, the use of non-traditional sound sources, multimedia technologies, and gamification is demonstrated as effective creative strategies for working with non-professional performers. Special attention is paid to the formation of a favorable psychological climate and a «creative ecosystem» within the ensemble, which ensures high motivation, emotional engagement, and the stability of the collective. It is concluded that the creative thinking of the leader of an amateur vocal ensemble is not only a means of artistic expression but also a strategic factor in the competitiveness and sustainability of the ensemble in the contemporary socio-cultural environment, ensuring a transition from the mere reproduction of musical material to the creation of an original, emotionally rich artistic product.
