Introduction. The art of choral performance as one of the forms of spiritual knowledge of the world is an integral factor in the formation of the artistic, aesthetic and spiritual potential of an individual. It is possible to reach such heights thanks to the coordinated use of the constituent components of the choral sound, among which the ensemble occupies a special place...

Materials and methods. It is known that every art consists of two parts: technical and artistic. Without mastering the technical side of art, it is impossible to achieve artistic results. It is the technical side of singing in the choir that must include: clean intonation, unity of the sound of voices, ensemble, mode, a single manner of sound creation, organization of singing breathing, vocal position of the sound, clear diction...

Research results. As practice shows, those who have encountered choral singing emphasize the importance of combining all components of choral sonority with each other: arrangement, diction, means of musical expressiveness. Thanks to the coherence and endless cycle of balanced choral performance, an artistic unity is created, which is defined by the concept of an ensemble...

Conclusions. So, the choral ensemble is the intonation coherence of the singing voices, the unity of timbre, the full unison of each individual part in a single harmonious consonance. The need to harmonize the components of a choral ensemble indicates its importance, which consists in the ability to instantly transform choral singing into a collective creative process under the control of the conductor and within the space-time range to qualitatively change the physical nature of the ensemble sound, its character, timbre diversity, to provide a characteristic voice for creating dynamic plan of the artistic image. Artistic unity, which is created due to the balance of all performance components, is the highest form of consonance, which is characterized by the concept of ensemble.
