Abstract

Modern studies require the use of monitoring factors of non-infectious diseases among pedagogical workers at the stage of professional training. They are necessary for the development of programs to improve medical literacy and ensure the health-saving competence of the Professional Standard. The goal is to assess the risk factors of non-communicable diseases among teachers at the stage of professional training during martial law. Research methods: a survey was conducted using a specially developed questionnaire in the Google.forms cloud environment, which included questions about behavioral risk factors, anthropometric indicators, hemodynamic indicators (heart rate, blood pressure. 178 teaching staff aged 18–52 took part in the study at the stage of professional training in the city of Sumy during October 2022 (88 people) and 2023 (90 people). The results of the assessment of the risk factors of non-infectious diseases among pedagogical workers at the stage of professional training during martial law, a high level of combined factors of non-infectious diseases was established, the rate of which exceeds the national level. During the martial law, there was a trend towards an increase in the share of teaching staff at the stage of professional training with obesity of the first degree (t = 3.04, p ≤ 0.05) and a decrease in the share with normal body weight (t = 3.1, p ≤ 0, 05); a decrease in the share with elevated blood pressure (t = 4.5, p ≤ 0.001), a decrease in the share consuming vegetables and fruits more than seven times a day (t = 2.6, p ≤ 0.01), an increase in the share of future teachers high level of physical activity (t = 3.83, p ≤ 0.01). Conclusions. The conducted research requires, in the conditions of martial law, to optimize health promotion measures among teaching staff at the stage of professional training and to constantly focus on the risk factors of non-communicable diseases.
