ASSESSMENT CRITERIA FOR HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING THE EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT «HANDBALL WITH TEACHING METHODOLOGY»

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of assessment criteria for higher education applicants of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Health and Sports of the State Institution «Lugansk National Taras Shevchenko University» in the process of studying the educational component «Handball with Teaching Methodology». The article examines the relevance of the assessment problem in the context of improving the quality of training future specialists in physical culture and sports.The purpose of the study is to analyze and systematize the assessment criteria used in the process of studying the discipline "Handball with Teaching Methodology", as well as to determine their impact on the level of knowledge acquisition and the formation of practical skills of students. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the effectiveness of existing criteria and their compliance with modern requirements for the training of specialists.The article analyzes the following assessment criteria: assessment of theoretical knowledge (testing, oral answers, essays); practical skills (technique of performing game elements, tactical training, participation in competitions); methodological skills (development of lesson plans and conducting training sessions, analysis of video materials); activity in classes and independent work of higher education applicants. The influence of each of these criteria on students' motivation and their attitude to the educational process is also considered.The results of the study showed that the effective use of various assessment criteria contributes to improving the quality of education and the formation of students' competencies. The combination of theoretical and practical assessment, as well as the assessment of methodological skills, which are key for future coaches and teachers, is especially important. It was found that clear and understandable assessment criteria contribute to a better understanding by students of the requirements for them and increase their responsibility for learning outcomes.The article presents recommendations for improving the assessment criteria in the discipline "Handball with Teaching Methodology", which can be used to improve the effectiveness of the educational process and the quality of training specialists in the field of physical culture and sports.
